The purposes of this web site are to -
- Inform members of the operations of the association
- Provide members with a central point for all information relating to the running of all regional, state and Australian titles - including dates and venues; accommodation options; entry costs; and other information pertaining to the events
- Provide a forum for members to communicate with other members as well as the committee.
- Provide a central contact point for all longboard clubs affiliated with the NLA.
- Provide links to (discount) accommodation and tour sites in the vicinity of NLA events.
- Provide links (where possible) to all regions and clubs within NSW
- Provide links to other surfing related clubs and associations
- Provide a visible and tangible presentation of the major sponsor's products and services
- Provide a promotional forum for the NLA's major sponsor(s)
- Provide access to NLA documents - ie membership form; entry forms; association rules and regulations - via pdf download; etc ..
- Provide a photo gallery of events from photographers on-site at the time of the event, with links to their sites.
- Provide an introductory gateway for people who wish to take up the sport in their area - in a club atmosphere.
- Provide a potential source of income to NLA via -
- Income from advertising within the site.
- Increase in membership base
- Income from sales of NLA clothing; boardshorts; decals; etc ..
- Additional sponsors attracted to the site by the broad membership base
Important Note - NLA is a
not-for-profit organisation. Revenue collected from all sources goes
towards reducing costs for members in their state representation and
provides membership benefits such as insurance.
